Shimla, Feb. 28 -- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday, announced that the Himachal Pradesh Government would invest approximately Rs 3,000 crore in installing advanced medical equipment and high-end technology across government health institutions, including all medical colleges, as part of a comprehensive plan to modernise the state's healthcare infrastructure.

Launching the state-level HPV Vaccination Campaign against cervical cancer at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, the Chief Minister said the government was committed to strengthening prevention, diagnosis and treatment facilities to address the growing burden of serious diseases, including cancer.
