Shimla, Aug. 7 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday directed the Health Department to promote research in government medical colleges and further strengthen diagnostic services across the state, saying quality healthcare remains a top priority of his government.
Presiding over a review meeting of the Health Department here, the Chief Minister said a dedicated research department would be established at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, in the first phase. Similar facilities would subsequently be developed in other government medical colleges to promote medical research and improve patient care.
