Shimla, Feb. 18 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated in the Assembly on Wednesday that MLA Local Area Development Funds (LADF) and MLA discretionary grants would be released after the issue of the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) is resolved.
Replying to a query raised by BJP MLA Randhir Sharma during Question Hour, the Chief Minister said that funds sought under LADF could not be disbursed if they are not meant for asset creation. He clarified that members could utilise funds from their discretionary grants only for works related to asset creation.
Responding to a supplementary question by BJP MLA Prakash Rana, the Chief Minister said that funds cannot be transferred to Mahila Mandals under the MLA LADF scheme.
