Shimla, July 21 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday extended his best wishes to young ice skater Samarth Atri, who has been selected to represent India at the Asian Short Track Ice Skating Trophy 2026, scheduled to be held in Dehradun from August 17 to 20.
Samarth Atri, a resident of Bhoranj tehsil in Hamirpur district, called on the Chief Minister here and sought his blessings ahead of the international championship.
Congratulating the young athlete on his selection, Sukhu said the state government was committed to developing world-class sports infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh to enable talented sportspersons to hone their skills and excel at national and international events.
