Shimla, July 16 -- Himachal Pradesh's district police Shimla has seized movable and immovable properties worth Rs 2.28 crore allegedly acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking in two separate NDPS Act cases, intensifying its crackdown on the financial networks of narcotics traffickers.
Police officials on Thursday said the action followed detailed financial investigations carried out under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, aimed at identifying assets purchased through illegal earnings from drug trafficking.
