Shimla, July 7 -- Three persons were arrested after 242 grams of heroin (chitta) was seized from their vehicle near Shoghi barrier in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday.
Dislclosing thus, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mehar Panwar said that the Special Cell, Shimla, received specific information on July 6 that some persons were transporting a consignment of heroin in a vehicle through the Shoghi barrier area. Acting swiftly, a police team laid a naka, intercepted the suspect vehicle and recovered 242 grams of heroin during a search conducted in the presence of independent witnesses, she added.
