Shimla, Aug. 7 -- Himachal Pradesh Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi on Friday directed Goodwill Energy Enterprises Company to immediately release the pending Local Area Development Authority (LADA) funds for its 29 MW hydropower project at Suru village in Koot Gram Panchayat under Rampur subdivision of Shimla district.
Chairing a review meeting with company representatives, the Minister said the non-release of LADA funds had adversely affected development activities in the project-affected area and was unfair to local residents.
He instructed the company to release the funds without any further delay.
