Shimla, June 4 -- : Himachal Pradesh Revenue and Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi on Thursday expressed concern over the increasing traffic burden on the Atal Tunnel and adjoining tourist destinations.
He underlined the need for a coordinated approach involving various stakeholders to ensure sustainable tourism and environmental protection in the region.
Addressing mediapersons here on Thursday, Negi said the opening of the Atal Tunnel had significantly enhanced connectivity to adjoining Ladakh and the tribal district Lahaul-Spiti in Himachal, resulting in a sharp rise in tourist arrivals.
