Shimla, July 29 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday said the state's revenue from major and minor minerals has increased by 70 per cent over the last three years and directed officials to ensure that mining activities are carried out in a scientific and environmentally sustainable manner.

Chairing a meeting of the Mining Wing of the Industries Department here, Sukhu said revenue from mineral extraction had increased from Rs 200 crore in the financial year 2021-22 to Rs 340 crore in 2025-26.
