Shimla, April 29 -- : Leader of Opposition and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur accused the state government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of violating the Model Code of Conduct during the ongoing election period.
In a statement issued from Mandi, Thakur on Wednesday alleged that the Congress government was openly flouting election norms to favour its associates and extend protection to "friends".
He claimed that despite the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct across the state, the government was indulging in activities that undermine democratic processes.
