Shimla, June 15 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court has taken suo motu cognisance of security arrangements in judicial complexes across the state following concerns raised over inadequate protection in court premises.
The court's intervention stems from a serious security breach reported at the Hamirpur Judicial Court Complex on May 25, when an armed individual allegedly gained access to the premises and threatened members of the judiciary and legal fraternity. The situation was eventually brought under control after police personnel present in the complex swiftly restrained and apprehended the accused.
