Shimla, Sept. 6 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered the attachment of a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) vehicle after the corporation failed to comply with a prior court directive to clear arrears owed to employees.
Hearing an execution petition on yesterday, a single bench of the High Court rejected an HRTC's repeated plea of financial constraints, holding that such excuses cannot justify indefinite non-compliance with judicial orders.
In the matter of Gurcharan Singh & Others vs. HRTC & Others, Justice Satyen Vaidya directed that HRTC's Etios car be seized immediately and barred from use until further orders.
