Shimla, May 20 -- BJP MP from Shimla parliamentary constituency and former state party president Suresh Kashyap on Wednesday accused the Himachal Pradesh government of adopting "anti-farmer policies" by withdrawing the additional Rs 50 subsidy on DAP and NPK fertilisers, alleging the move would burden farmers.

Kashyap termed the withdrawal of the subsidy a "direct betrayal" of farmers and said the Congress government had once again demonstrated that it was unconcerned about the interests of farmers, orchardists, and the rural economy.
