Dharamshala, Oct. 18 -- Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, on Sunday, laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 50 lakh at Kareri trek and lake in Kangra district, aimed at promoting tourism, expanding infrastructure and protecting the area's natural environment.
Pathania expressed gratitude to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and said Kareri was blessed with natural beauty, rich hill culture and immense tourism potential.
He stated Kareri trek and lake could emerge as major tourist attractions not only for Kangra district but also for the entire state.
