Shimla, July 31 -- In a first of its kind initiative in the country, Himachal Pradesh has introduced a one-time consent certificate system for industries, with validity ranging from five to 25 years, in a major regulatory reform aimed at improving the ease of doing business and attracting fresh investments, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said on Friday.
The Chief Minister said the initiative has been launched by the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (HPSPCB) under the state's 'Speed of Doing Business' programme to simplify compliance procedures for industrial units.
