Shimla, Oct. 24 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday virtually inaugurated adventure water sports activities at the Kol Dam reservoir in Aehan, Mandi district, with the state government planning to develop facilities along a 35-km stretch from Aehan to Tattapani to boost tourism and create livelihood opportunities for local youth.
The initiative is expected to provide tourists with a range of water-based recreational activities while generating employment and self-employment opportunities and strengthening the regional economy.
Sukhu said the government had decided to expand adventure water sports in the area, recognising the natural beauty of the Kol Dam reservoir and its considerable tourism potential.
