Shimla, May 31 -- BJP Himachal Pradesh president Rajeev Bindal claimed that the results of the recently concluded Panchayati Raj, urban local body and Municipal Corporation elections amounted to a referendum against the Congress government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, asserting that the electorate had delivered a decisive mandate in favour of the BJP.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Bindal said the poll outcomes clearly indicated that the people of the state had rejected the policies and governance of the Congress government.

He alleged that the elections had become a public verdict against what he termed the government's anti-people policies.
