Shimla, March 21 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday announced the implementation of three key guarantees aimed at uplifting nearly one lakh below poverty line BPL houeholds under the Mukhymantri Sukhi Parivar Yojana.
Presenting the state budget, the Chief Minister said that around one lakh poor families would be covered under the initiative to transform them into "Sukhi Parivar". The three major guarantees include 300 units of free electricity, Rs 1500 monthly pension, and financial assistance for pucca houses.
He stated detailed surveys have already been conducted by SDMs, DCs, BDOs and panchayats to identify eligible beneficiaries. "The poor would get their due rights through this targeted intervention...
