Shimla, April 19 -- Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister,Vikramaditya Singh, today criticised the Centre's approach to the Women's Reservation Bill, alleging that its current structure delays implementation and threatens the federal balance.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that linking the proposed 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies to the completion of the Census and subsequent delimitation exercise would effectively defer its implementation by nearly a decade. He termed the move as a "postponement of justice" rather than a genuine step towards women's empowerment.
