Dharamshala, Sept. 1 -- The Animal Husbandry Department in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, has started a campaign-based vaccination programme to prevent the spread of lumpy disease among animals. The department has received a total of 135,000 vaccine doses, and approximately 15,000 animals have been vaccinated so far.
Dr. Seema Guleria, Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry Department in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, said that animals infected with lumpy disease may show symptoms such as high fever, hard lumps on the skin, discharge from the eyes and nose, lethargy, decreased mouth function, and a drop in milk production. Department teams are continuously monitoring infected animals.
