Hamirpur (HP), March 11 -- Jaundice has spread in areas adjoining Hamirpur town of Himachal Pradesh and more than two dozen people especially children are affected by the water borne disease, officials said on Wednesday.
The spread of jaundice in the Badu area adjacent to Hamirpur city has created panic among the people.
According to reports, around 13 children from Swahal School have also contracted jaundice, creating a critical situation. It should be noted that the Jamli drinking water scheme supplies water to villages like Swahal, Bhati, Majhot, and others, and the spread is due to the accumulation of contaminated water near the drinking water scheme.
