Nahan, Aug. 23 -- A 25-year-old man was killed after a speeding truck hit the motorcycle he was riding on the Bangran bypass in Paonta Sahib late Saturday night. Another young man travelling with him sustained serious injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Hrithik Pundir, a resident of Dugana.
According to police, Pundir was riding a motorcycle with his friend when a speeding truck struck the bike at Bangran Chowk. Pundir died on the spot, while his friend, a resident of Kamaru, suffered serious injuries and was taken for treatment.
Paonta DSP Manvendra Thakur confirmed the accident and said police took custody of the deceased's body.
