Patna, Sept. 9 -- Bihar Janata Dal (United) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha Wednesday welcomed the state government's decision to increase the honorarium of medical teachers and doctors working on a contractual basis in government medical colleges and hospitals, saying the move would further strengthen healthcare services in the state.

Kushwaha said here that the state's health system was witnessing rapid improvement under the leadership of Health Minister Nishant Kumar and described the increase in honorarium as a welcome step.
