New Delhi, July 6 -- Higher automotive fuel prices kept truck rentals elevated across major freight corridors in June despite subdued cargo movement, while electric vehicle (EV) sales continued their strong growth trajectory, according to the latest Shriram Mobility Bulletin released today.
The report said truck rentals recorded moderate month-on-month increases across most key trunk routes, with the Mumbai-Kolkata-Mumbai corridor registering the highest rise of around 2 per cent, followed by Delhi-Bengaluru-Delhi at 1.8 per cent and Delhi-Kolkata-Delhi at 1.7 per cent.
Freight rates also edged up on the Delhi-Mumbai-Delhi, Delhi-Hyderabad-Delhi, Delhi-Chennai-Delhi, Mumbai-Chennai-Mumbai and Guwahati-Mumbai-Guwahati routes.
