Ranchi, Nov. 11 -- Voters turned out in large numbers for the Ghatshila Assembly by-election (Scheduled Tribe Reserved seat) in Jharkhand, where polling began at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, more than 34.32% of voters had cast their ballots by 11 a.m.
The polling, which started peacefully across all 300 polling stations, witnessed an enthusiastic response from youths, women, and elderly voters alike, who were seen queuing up early in the morning to exercise their democratic right.
The Election Commission has ensured strict security arrangements at all polling centers to maintain a free, fair, and peaceful voting process.
