Beed, Dec. 11 -- A high-speed trial run is scheduled to be conducted on the newly laid railway tracks between Beed and Wadwani under the ongoing Ahilyanagar-Beed-Parli railway project to boost regional connectivity in Maharashtra.

The trial will involve an eight-coach train expected to reach speeds of around 130 kilometres per hour.

The planned test run has generated considerable excitement among residents of Wadwani, who have been keenly awaiting railway connectivity in the region. The Ahilyanagar-Beed stretch of this line was inaugurated on September 17, marking a major milestone following four decades of persistent public demand and agitation for the project.
