Badlapur, Jan. 24 -- Political tensions between the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have once again flared up in Badlapur city following a shocking incident in which Shiv Sena corporator Hemant Chature was allegedly brutally assaulted by BJP office-bearers and workers over a dispute related to political dominance.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident, which has further heated up the political atmosphere in the city. Following the incident, Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Dr. Neelam Gorhe, on Saturday visited the injured corporator Hemant Chature to inquire about his condition.
