Kolkata, Oct. 27 -- Calcutta High Court warned the West Bengal government that it would instruct the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to seize the state's bank accounts if funds are not released immediately for pending judicial infrastructure projects, today.
A division bench of Justice Debangsu Basak and Justice Mohammad Shabbar Rashidi expressed strong displeasure over the freeze in development works across the High Court and several lower courts due to non-payment of dues.
The court directed the state Chief Secretary and Finance Secretary to be personally present during the next hearing.
