High Court Bench in Ladakh notified within a week of union Cabinet decision

Srinagar, Aug. 28 -- The High Court bench in Ladakh was notified within a week of the union Cabinet's decision, paving the way for High Court sittings in the union Territory and easing access to justice for its peopleLieutenant Governor of Ladakh Vinai Kumar Saxena on Friday welcomed the promulgation of the union Territory of Ladakh (Sitting of Bench of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in Ladakh) Regulation, 2026, by the President of India.

The notification was published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary on August 27, just a week after the union Cabinet approved the proposal on August 20.
