Ranchi, March 25 -- Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president Hemant Soren will lead the party's campaign for the upcoming Assam Assembly by-elections 2026, according to an official communication issued on Wednesday.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Election Commissioner of India, the party's central committee named Soren among its authorised star campaigners and said several senior leaders from Jharkhand would also campaign in Assam.
The party has also sought permission for movement of vehicles to be used by the authorised campaigners during the election period.
