Ranchi / Dibrugarh, March 29 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president Hemant Soren on Sunday campaigned in Assam's Dibrugarh district and sought support for the party's candidates in Tingkhong and Sonari Assembly segments.
Addressing public meetings in support of party candidates Mahavir Baskey and Baldev Teli, Soren raised issues related to tea garden workers, wages, land rights and access to basic facilities.
He alleged that the tea garden community, despite its long contribution to Assam's economy, continued to remain deprived of adequate wages, housing, education and other essential rights.
