Kolhapur, July 9 -- With continuous heavy rainfall over the last few day in the catchment areas of the Koyana, Chandoli, Radhanagari and Kalammawadi reservoirs, considered the "Bhagyalaxmi" of this region, the water storage in all the dams in western Maharashtra has increased rapidly.
According to the district weather office, the storage in Koyna dam is at 44.57 TMC, in Chandoli dam it is at 17.88 TMC, Radhanagari dam is 55.50 percent full, while Kalammawadi dam is 26 percent full.
Meanwhile, the water level of Rajaram Bandhara (weir) at Kasaba Bavada, a suburb of the city, was recorded at 37 feet this morning, (the warning level is 39 feet, and danger mark is 43 feet)), while 42,284 cusecs of water is being released from the riverbed. Ar...
