Panchkula, July 13 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an active monsoon spell across large parts of the country till July 18, with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in several states and isolated to scattered rainfall expected over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab.
The weather office has also warned of thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over several regions of the country.
According to the All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued by the National Weather Forecasting Centre on Sunday morning, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over Uttarakhand from July 13 to 18 and Himachal Pradesh on July 17 and 18.
