Bengaluru/Mangaluru, July 5 -- Karnataka's coastal and Malnad regions are set to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next three days as the southwest monsoon has regained strength after a weak June, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue an Orange Alert for six districts.

The renewed monsoon activity has triggered incessant rain across the coastal belt over the past three days, disrupting normal life in several places, while widespread showers have also lashed the Malnad region.
