Dharamshala, July 20 -- The Kangra district administration has sounded a high alert following the India Meteorological Department's forecast of heavy rainfall, with an Orange alert for July 20 and a Red alert for July 21 and 22.

Chairing a high-level virtual meeting of district officials today, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa directed all departments to remain fully prepared to tackle any emergency and prevent loss of life and property during the forecast period.
