Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 2 -- With heavy rain warnings continuing across Kerala, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has directed the State Tourism Department and District Tourism Promotion Councils (DTPCs) to enforce stringent safety measures and impose restrictions at vulnerable tourist destinations until the weather alert is withdrawn.

The KSDMA instructed authorities to restrict public access to waterfalls, reservoirs, and other tourism spots associated with water bodies in districts placed under Orange Alert, as well as in neighbouring districts experiencing widespread rainfall. The restrictions will remain in force until the adverse weather warning is lifted.
