Pune, March 5 -- A heatwave has intensified across Maharashtra, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issuing a Yellow Alert for Mumbai and the Konkan region due to hot and humid conditions.
The department has forecast a further rise in temperatures across the state, along with possible fluctuations over the next few days.
Akola recorded the highest temperature in the state at 38.8 degrees Celsius, while Dhule registered the lowest at 13.5 degrees Celsius.
In the Konkan region, hot and humid weather is expected to persist throughout the day. The weather department has advised citizens to take necessary precautions while stepping outdoors.
