Pune, May 2 -- : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released its weather forecast for the month of May, stating that the ongoing heatwave conditions across Maharashtra and several parts of central and northern India are expected to reduce gradually during the month.
The forecast has brought some relief amid the rising temperatures experienced over the past few weeks.
According to the IMD, hot weather conditions are likely to prevail today across Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha regions. However, the department indicated that the intensity of heatwaves may weaken compared to the severe conditions recorded earlier.
