Shimla, June 8 -- The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for parts of Himachal Pradesh over the next 48 hours, warning that maximum temperatures could rise by up to 4degC in several districts.
According to the Meteorological Centre Department Shimla, heatwave conditions are likely at isolated places in Una and Bilaspur districts on June 9 and 10.
Dry weather is expected to continue across most parts of the state until June 10, leading to a further rise in daytime temperatures, particularly in the plains and lower hill regions.
