Mumbai, May 15 -- : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heatwave conditions in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar starting tomorrow. Temperatures in Mumbai are expected to reach around 36 degrees Celsius, while some parts of Thane may witness temperatures crossing 38 degrees Celsius. The heat intensity is likely to remain high in Raigad and Thane on Friday and Saturday.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region had also experienced severe heat conditions last week. Although temperatures had dropped slightly to 34 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, providing temporary relief, weather officials have now predicted another rise in temperature from Friday onward.
