Panchkula, June 8 -- Residents of Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Delhi are likely to face intense heat wave conditions for the next two days before a significant change in weather brings thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and hailstorm activity across the region, according to the latest forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD has predicted heat wave conditions at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Punjab on June 9 and 10. Day temperatures are expected to remain significantly above normal, with hot and dry conditions prevailing across much of northwestern India.
