Ranchi, March 1 -- Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari on Sunday visited Sahardal Parvatpada in Jamtara district, where he participated in the sacred 'Chhatiyar Karam' ceremony of the tribal community.
A large number of families and villagers from nearby villages and panchayats gathered for the occasion. The Minister was accorded a traditional welcome in keeping with tribal customs and rituals, creating a festive atmosphere in the area.
During the programme, Dr Ansari interacted with villagers and joined a traditional foot march as part of the customary practices. Amid drum beats and celebrations, he walked with the community to a local pond and later returned to the village in a procession.
