Hyderabad, June 20 -- : Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said the health of the people is the truest indicator of development and stressed the need to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all sections of society.
Addressing the India Health Summit as the chief guest, Bhatti Vikramarka said healthcare is not merely a government responsibility but a basic necessity for every citizen.
He noted that illness often pushes families into financial distress, wiping out savings accumulated over a lifetime, and emphasized that no poor person should fear entering a hospital because of treatment costs.
