Betul (MP), Oct. 24 -- The district health department has presented a glowing instance of humanity by functioning on a government holiday and thus saving a newborn's life.

A sum of Rs 2.75 lakh was immediately sanctioned for cardiac surgery of Shahpur town-resident tribesman Sanjay Kumar Ivne's one-and-a-half-month-old son Advik, who, from some days after birth, was experiencing difficulty in breathing and his heart rate was rapid. An echocardiogram in Nagpur confirmed that the child had severe heart disease.
