Chandigarh, June 12 -- A head constable posted at the Women Police Station in Manesar, Gurugram, was arrested while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, the Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) said on Thursday.

According to officials, the accused, identified as Head Constable Kavita, was caught red-handed during a trap operation conducted by the bureau's Gurugram unit. Further investigation into the case is underway.

The action followed a complaint submitted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau by a man who alleged that his wife had lodged an FIR against him and his family members at the Women Police Station, Manesar.
