Bhubaneswar, July 24 -- Odisha took a major step towards becoming a leading technology hub on Friday with the signing of two landmark Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with global technology company HCLTech and indigenous artificial intelligence firm Sarvam AI.

The two projects are expected to attract investments of around Rs 15,000 crore over the next five years and generate thousands of high-skilled jobs in the state.

Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony at the Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said the agreements would usher in a new era of industrial and technological growth in Odisha, significantly strengthening its technology-driven economy.
