Chandigarh, Oct. 27 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday issued notices to the Central Government, the Governments of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, as well as the National Medical Commission, while hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) filed in connection with the death of Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda in a road accident.
The PIL, filed by senior advocate Navkiran Singh, alleges that Jawanda did not receive timely medical treatment after the accident, which led to his death. According to the petition, the private hospital where the injured singer was initially taken failed to provide even basic first aid.
