Chandigarh, March 27 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has delivered a major legal setback to Amritpal Singh, the Member of Parliament from Khadoor Sahib, by dismissing his petition seeking temporary release on parole.
Singh, who is currently detained under the National Security Act (NSA), had approached the court requesting permission to participate in the ongoing session of the Parliament. With the dismissal of this plea, the radical leader will remain in custody and will be unable to attend the legislative proceedings.
