Shimla, Feb. 27 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court has refused to admit an appeal filed by the State of Himachal Pradesh, refusing to condone a delay of more than 300 days in challenging a single judge's order arising out of an arbitral award.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice GS Sandhawalia and Justice Bipin C. Negi held in an order released to media on Friday that the state had failed to furnish any "plausible and tangible explanation" for the long delay. As per the office report, the appeal was barred by 323 days, while the state's own application admitted a delay of 293 days.
