Nagpur, Aug. 8 -- : The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court has recommended that the union government immediately remove Pankaj Kumar from the post of Presiding Officer of the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Nagpur, observing that he was "not fit" to continue in the position and had wilfully disobeyed the court's directions.
A division bench comprising Justices Anil Kilor and Raj Wakode made the recommendation while disposing of a contempt petition against Kumar.
The order came on a plea filed by Pushpa Deshmukh through Advocate Yash Bhumare, alleging that the tribunal had failed to hear her application despite a High Court order.
